The peace sign was really designed in 1958 by British artist Gerald Holtom for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), which was having its first major march in England. Holtom explained that the symbol superimposed the semaphore letters “N” and “D” over each other.

This artwork features the common machinery of  warfare all squashed together in a bigger picture idea of Peace.

    Invictus Tshirt

Tshirt inspired by the “INVICTUS” poem written by  William Ernest Henley1849 – 1903. The words in the poem are very powerful , inspiring and uplifting for the darkest of times. World leaders such as Nelson Mandela found succor in the words of this poem when it seemed all hope was lost for them.

The full poem is as written below:

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.
